Rooted in stories of determination, our founding journey showcases a commitment to community progress. The seeds planted years ago have blossomed into a vibrant network aimed at fostering inclusion and unity. Guided by personal and cultural tales, our dedicated team comprises individuals with extensive experiences in both the non-profit and corporate sectors.
Celebrating Filipino immigrant achievements and ensuring their voices are recognized, our foundation cultivates transformative opportunities that cross borders, inspire connection, and forge unity. Join us in championing cultural pride and shared prosperity for future generations.
When I began dreaming about the Filipino Initiative Network (FIN), my vision was simple but deeply personal: to create a space where Filipino and AAPI communities could feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
My story is rooted in the experiences of Filipino immigrants who have worked hard, cared deeply, and contributed immensely to their adopted homes — often quietly, often unseen. Through FIN, I want to honor those stories and invest in the well-being and potential of our community.
I believe that mental health is as vital as physical health, and that culturally sensitive support can change lives. I believe that every senior deserves a safe, dignified home that keeps them connected to their culture and community. And I believe that representation in the arts and entertainment industry matters — because the stories we tell shape the world we live in.
FIN was created not only to give, but to connect — to build bridges among generations, across communities, and beyond borders. Through partnerships, scholarships, and grants, I aim to nurture healing, creativity, and empowerment that will ripple outward for generations.
My hope is that FIN becomes more than a foundation — that it becomes a movement for inclusion, cultural pride, and shared progress.
With gratitude and purpose,
Gina Galicia-Ibarrola
